François Mark is the Managing Director of Interactive Graphics Studios (IGFX) and founder of AfriEDX.com.He has over 20 years of experience in web and video production. He has been actively and closely involved in multimedia in various sectors of the industry.François Mark is currently helping African communities master and apply new technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR) through the AfriEDX initiative which was voted best start-up for 2018. In recognition thereof AfriEDX was presented with the Southern Africa Startup Awards – Best EduTech Startup 2018.In his capacity as a mentor for the Coursera.org community, François mentors learners around the world to help them succeed in Immersive VR and 360-degree Production.Now, as a Global Peace Chain Ambassador, he is committed to promoting peace through the global chain with new technologies, especially through Virtual Reality (VR) which is being leveraged as a means to encourage the international community to engage in the world peace process and share ideas and solutions across borders.François is also the author of the book entitled Virtual Reality Demyztified.
