“Fatouma has over six years of experience working with vulnerable women and gender-based violence.
Currently, Fatouma works with the government at the prime minister’s office in the communication department, Responsible for the Diplomatic Affairs. Together with my team, we provide consultancy services in health, conduct research, evaluation, and surveys in the fields of health, gender equality, education, and peacebuilding.
We also implement projects and programs in the field of sexual and reproductive health including awareness-raising on the dangers of female genital mutilation and violence against women and girls. We conduct training, workshops, and capacity building for various levels of people in our areas of work. We also design and conduct surveys, research, and evaluations for individuals, organizations, and institutions.
Fatouma has a master degree Bonn-Sieg University German, Master of Arts in Analysis and Design of Social Protection systems. Fatouma is the founder and president of the Djibouti Association of Dyslexia which is for children who have difficulties in reading and writing. She has paneled and facilitated different national and international forums, with a focus on youth and girl empowerment. Fatouma , also volunteers in her local community, promotes national and local ownership, leadership and capacity development, awareness events for community mobilization, and social change through community activities. Fatouma is Alumni YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa Cohort 1and the
Mandela Washington Fellowship.”
