I am Ellen Shihepo, a career journalist and multimedia consultant from Namibia based in Windhoek. My focus has been on agriculture, business, politics, current affairs, human interest issues, oil and gas. These topics have been the pivotal factors affecting our nation and a roadmap to what our future may look like. I covered issues around the controversies of the veterinary corden fence and its limitations both racially, economically as well as its original representation from colonialism. Ive covered Namibia’s transitions of power between three presidents in a span of two years plus its welcoming of the country’s first female president as a milestone in the country’s push for diversity and inclusivity and fairness. I have similarly advocated for climate health and awareness as a panelist and news presenter on the Southern African Science Service Center for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCCAL) Initiative in 2024.
