Edilawit Tsehay was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She moved to United States a year ago to pursue her higher education. She is currently studying Computer Science at Garden City Community College. Besides being a math tutor part-time, Edilawit serves as the vice-president of the International Club. She also volunteers twice a week at local Organization while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Edilawit is passionate about global affairs, human rights and advancing gender-transformative policy change world-wide. She enjoys mindfulness and engaging in effective conversations.
