I graduated in Linguistics and Literature at the University of Brasília in 2021. It was during these years that I discovered a deep passion: language – and I started to act as a linguistic rights advocate. So that I could connect with as many people as possible, I decided to learn, in addition to English, Spanish, French, and Russian. Even when I was unable to understand people fully, I realized how deeply humanity needs to communicate.
As part of my efforts, I participated in a summer program at Fudan University, in a human rights institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and I was a delegate at the 2022 Yenching Symposium. Besides, through my hard and soft skills, I got an internship at the UN and worked at the Federal Senate of Brazil.
Another area I work in is women’s rights. I joined forces to launch an app capable of mapping tools in Brazil so that women who have suffered gender-based violence can find help. More than 1,100 resources have been mapped. The app will be launched by the end of May.
