Dr. Daniel D. Dasig, Jr. is a young multi-awarded global leader and holds BSc in Computer Engineering, MSc in Engineering in Computer Engineering, and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering degree, and currently, he is pursuing Doctor in Business Administration. Currently, he is the President of Philippine Parliament for Water, the Vice-Chair and Deputy Director for Capability Building of International Youth Council Pilipinas, Country Coordinator of Global Youth Parliament, and President/Chairman of the Global Youth Parliament. He was recently selected by the World Water Council as part of the Action Group for 2021 World Water Forum in Dakar Senegal, and Environment Working Group of the Internet Society Youth Observatory for the 2020 Internet Governance Forum in Poland. In 2018, he was selected as Rapporteur for the SGD 13 Climate Action during the 2nd Southeast Asia Forum on the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals on Sept 11-13, 2018, United Nations, Bangkok, Thailand. He was also a delegate during the 2019 Asia Pacific People’s Forum for Sustainable Development Strengthening Peoples’ Power for Development; Asia Pacific Regional Civil Society Engagement Mechanism; and the UN ESCAP- Embassy of Sweden Second Regional Workshop, United Nations Conference Center, Bangkok, Thailand, March 24-26, 2019

He has been a Professorial Lecturer in electrical engineering, environmental engineering, information technology, computer science, and education in the Philippines and abroad. He is an Associate Postgraduate Lecturer 6 of the Graduate Studies of College of Science and Computer Studies of De La Salle University Dasmarinas and a Professorial Lecturer at the College of Continuing and Advanced Professional Studies of the University of Makati since 2014 where he also served as Research Coordinator in the College of Computer Science. In 2014, he served as Chair of Computer Engineering Department of Jose Rizal University. He also works with the Change Management and software development teams of TELUS since 2011. He is a Lean Six Sigma Certified, ITIL V3 Certified and Certified Project Management Expert. Dr. Dasig has authored and co-authored textbooks, reference books, and book chapters, and has more than 100 academic and technical papers extending over a wide spectrum of research areas such as in engineering, information technology, education, computer science and social sciences. He has organized and co-organized local and international conferences and was a recipient of Fellow, Best Paper and Best Paper Presenter awards. He has an executive role, lifetime and active membership to more than 40 professional, research and policy-making organizations such as ICANN-NCSG, Internet Society Philippines, ICpEP, and PSITE. He has received numerous global and international awards including the World Class Filipino for Engineering and Information Technology. He is a book author and Editor of Recent Advances in Big Data and Applications in Education, Springer, Switzerland, and Handbook of IoT and Blockchain: Methods, Solutions, and Recent Advancements, CRC Press- Taylor & Francis Group, USA, and Innovations, Models, and Policies of Green Engineering Technologies, IGI Global, USA. He is an IEEE member of the Republic of the Philippines Section.
