Passionate about human being and leadership development, Sounon Coulibaly was identified in 2014 by the US Department of State as one of the most promising young leader in Africa and joined the MANDELA WASHINGTON FELLOWSHIP FOR YOUNG AFRICAN LEADERS (MWF/YALI) and participated in a Summit with President Obama. He is today the President of YOUNG LEADERS COTE D’IVOIRE, gathering the Ivorian fellows of the YALI program, promoting peace and entrepreneurship.
As a social change activist engaged in the discussions with Government and NGOs and people at the grass root level, I have a deep understanding of realities and matters related to peace in Cote d’Ivoire. I have initiated or participated in several campaigns on guaranteeing peaceful and elections and democracy. After the long armed conflict, I am dedicated to offer young people alternatives to violence and consequences of war through training, mentor ship, civic engagement.
I strongly believe that in an Africa starring straight at a brighter future, with hope and opportunities to for all and everyone. I also believe children are the key to bringing sustainable change. I am passionate about mentoring and motivating young people in working with passion in a peaceful environment. Peace is the background compulsory for any form of positive development.
