My name is Claudia Gianella Ale Flores, I study Law in the Private University of Tacna.
I am member of a Young Organization called Vanguardia in Tacna. We work to form volunteers and prepare youngs in youth politics, everything always applying and promoting the ODS.
I think that for giving your time, your skills, your enthusiasm for a necessary cause that needs a solution without waiting to receive something in return, is to be a changemaker, and our world needs a lot of them. I love volunteering because I feel I am cooperating to change the world and I look at it as a service to the fellow. For that reason, I have participated in many different volunteering in my country. Such as Panamerican Games volunteering, Super Lectoras Program, Poder Judicial Volunteering, and Ministerio Público Volunteering. Each of them has changed my life in different aspects.
I received a scholarship from the Department of State of the United States, to study at the Leadership Institute for Indigenous and Afro-descendant women at The University of Arizona. I shared with 21 women from Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru. We learned about politics and history of the United States, but also, we developed our leadership to share the experience with our communities and cause a social impact like a changemaker. In that program, I won a mini-grant to develop a project related to revive our native languages and it is directed to young people in Tacna. Nowadays, I am working on that project.
