My name is Chandini Baljor and I am eighteen years old. I attend Queen’ College and I am involved in many clubs, both on campus and off campus. In Campus, I am a part of the Environmental Club as I am a tree hugger. Since, I like making a difference, especially one which is visible and I am passionate about the environment, I am actively involved in the many clean up campaigns hosted by this club. I believe cleanliness breeds a clear mind. I am also involved in the Interact Club where I get to meet new people and learn from their cultures and experiences. As a member of the interact Club, I am closely involved in their meetings and their off campus activities, such as the walk for Breast Cancer Awareness. Additionally, I am a part of the Hindu Society Executive members where I plan and implement various activities. I teach and in the process also learn about my culture. We often plan fund raisers and programmes.
Off of Campus, I am closely involved in the Rampertop Children’s Foundation as I believe the children are our future and so what we pour into them is what we shall see in the future. I often help by raising awareness to what the RCF can offer and by obtaining means by which the public can assist the children. Moreover, I am also involved in a dance group where I get involved in my culture and teach other children. We once performed at the NCC to gain spotlight which as expected turned out really well. Both my academic and social lives are often busy but I thoroughly take pleasure in and still look forward to more opportunities to gain new heights.
