My name is Brishna Ghafoory, a gender expert and committed advocate for women’s rights and justice. I formerly served as the Gender Specialist at the Gender Directorate of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan, where I worked to promote gender equality and strengthen institutional responses to gender-based issues within the judiciary.

Throughout my career, I have been actively engaged in several key committees and initiatives. I was a member of the Support Centers for Afghan Women under the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, as well as a member of the Committee for the Prevention of Harassment Against Women and Children within the judiciary. I also served as the Focal Point of the Supreme Court for coordination with various ministries on gender-related matters.

In addition, I was a member of the Supreme Court’s Staff Recruitment Committee and was responsible for managing and overseeing gender-related programs within the Gender Directorate. My work has consistently focused on empowering women, advocating for their rights within the legal system, and promoting institutional reform to combat gender-based violence and discrimination.

I am deeply aligned with the mission of Global Peace Chain to build sustainable peace through inclusive leadership. With my experience in legal advocacy, gender justice, and institutional development, I am eager to contribute to the advancement of peace and equality on a global scale.
