Asiphe is a social and gender activist whose purpose is driven by youth development. She is working and contributing in various spaces like Lecturing, Research Development and Gender work. She is currently doing her PhD in Higher Education with CHERTL at Rhodes University focusing on Narrative Intersectionality and Student experiences of Gender. At Nelson Mandela University she has led at Off-campus student housing as a house committee member and residence student assistant (PSA). She then worked as a Postgraduate Administrator at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology; Contract Lecturing in Public Administration; Contract lecturing in Politics; Research Assistant at the Centre for Women and Gender studies; Research Assistant at the Chair for Critical Studies in Higher Education Transformation; Research Assistant at the Centre for the Advancement of Non-Racialism and Democracy. She is currently serving as a Founder of Ukhozi Youth Development Programme which is an NGO operating in Molteno and she is a Director at Evoke Research Primary Cooperative which is a cooperative founded by Young graduates from Nelson Mandela University led by Mr Ongama Mtimka. She is currently the Chairperson of the Gender Action Forum.
