A Progressive lawmaker with passion for global peace, socio-economic justice, good governance and economic and social empowerment for the youths and vulnerable groups. I strongly hold the belief that the world would be a better place for everyone to live if our leaders could come to realize the importance of peace, accommodate, embrace and commit to its sustenance. I also strongly believe that the starting point to attaining global peace is to do with having good and responsible leadership – the kind of leadership that: fully knows that it is not above law; is fully committed to the rule of law and good governance; knows when it is time to leave office and pave way for others to step in; takes full responsibility fighting against and rooting out inequality, nepotism, corruption and socio-economic injustice in any form and at any level. As an emerging and progressive lawmaker, I am passionate about good governance, socio-economic justice, equitable distribution of economic and infrastructural development, improved and scaled out delivery of quality basic social services to do with health, education, agriculture. I am and advocate for states to increase and sustain spending and investing in education, health, agriculture and technology, in addition to creating an enabling environment that allows the private sector to create jobs and contribute to the economic growth of the country so that peace has the proper definition and meaning. In this regard, I enjoy collaborating with and mobilizing both the youth and women into social action and active participation in and on issues that matter to them, and also allowing them to decide on such issues.
