I am April Rose Gonzales, also known as Arrah, born in Biñan, Laguna to Filipino parents of Spanish descent. Thanks to my mother’s strong emphasis on education, especially in English, I grew up with a deep love for learning and sharing knowledge. I earned my degree in Education, majoring in English, from St. Scholastica’s College, where I was shaped by values of prayer, hard work, and empowerment. Later, I pursued graduate studies at De La Salle University, where I engaged in research, social work, and service learning. In 2020, I received the Gawad Lasalyano, the university’s highest award for peace and community service. As a lifelong tennis player, I founded the Biñan Youth Tennis Club to support young athletes and co-founded Court Class, a free tennis program for adults that promotes wellness and community building. Currently, I teach Senior High School and college students at De La Salle University and have published research on ethical writing, citation, and education.
