Annete is a Kenyan and a young emerging leader. She has earned bachelors degree in
Commerce. She describesherself asa feminist, peace activist and human rightsactivist. She has
worked as a FinanceOfficer Intern in the State Department of Devolution (Kenya), and also as
an Accountant in the Ministry of Health (Kenya). She has volunteered in several organizations,
one of them being her role as an Education Ambassador ; Her main objectives were
strengthening primary education outcome, promoting national cohesion through positiveethnic
interaction and understanding, and also participating in processes of community
engagement and collaborative. Annete is currently a Peace Ambassador by iBuild Africa
Organization. She cultivates the art of peaceful dialogue and intercultural leadership. She
mentors others to adapt the art of peaceful coexistence in their everyday lives. She is
volunteeringasthe General Secretary(Kenya) for Great MindsEmpireAfrica. Annete hasearned
an Open Source Leadership 2018 badge by Common Purpose U.K. She is also a mentee in PLO
Lumumba Foundation. Her interests lies in fighting against Gender Based Violence and
Stigmatization of women living with HIV/AIDS, inclusion of women in leadership and decision
makingprocesses, inclusion of women in peace building and reconciliation processes, and Pan-
Africanism.
