“Amr is a community activist, a gender justice advocate, a Public speaker, and a Youtuber with 7 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. He received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Alexandria University, Egypt in 2018. Moreover, he studied civic engagement and peace studies at bard college, New York in 2016 within a framework of a six-week summer leadership program funded by the US department of state. He also attended other 9 short study visits about SDGs as a youth leader in different countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Denmark, Jordan, and Morocco. Amr is serving now as the co-founder and CEO of a social enterprise called Empower Hub. He is responsible for running and managing small and medium Sustainable Development grants funded by national and international entities, as well as designing and facilitating training programs.
Amr’s biggest achievement is a project called “”California Activity Club”” co-founded in 2014 promoting the idea of multiculturalism through building a diverse inclusive dialogue club. Thanks to some US embassy grants, he succeeded in co-training over 500 facilitators who were able to reach in-person over 5000 participants in the last 7 years through a Facebook page followed by almost 19K followers. In 2020, Amr co-founded the “women leaders campaign” to empower women with all their intersecting identities to become elected leaders as he succeeded in co-training 40 feminist young leaders who reached over 800 participants that are now networking with each other via one Facebook group. Besides, Amr provided 5 Tedx talks and 50+ mega-event talks about SDGs, so he reached +30K attendees. He is also a Youtuber who has +85K subscribers and +100K followers on Facebook.”
