My name is Abdou El Oihab Mohamed Ali, a passionate young medical leader and volunteer from the Comoros Islands, currently completing my final year of medical studies at the University of Alexandria, Egypt. After graduating from high school with a Scientific Series C diploma, I chose medicine as a path to serve people, improve public health, and strengthen community resilience.
Since the beginning of my studies, I have combined my academic journey with social and humanitarian engagement. At the Alexandria University Teaching Hospital, I have taken part in patient care, public health promotion, and teamwork activities aimed at improving the quality of services. I have also participated in several medical outreach programs and awareness campaigns in my country and abroad, promoting access to health education and disease prevention.
In my homeland, I have volunteered in community development, youth empowerment, and environmental protection projects, organizing local health campaigns, educational workshops, and youth dialogues focused on peace and sustainability.
I am proud to be the founder of the first National Member Organization (MNO) of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) in Comoros, which gives Comorian medical students a voice on the global stage.
I am also affiliated with several international organizations, including the World Medical Association (WMA), the Major Group for Children and Youth (MGCY), the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN), the International Peace Bureau (IPB), and YOUNGO, the youth constituency of the UNFCCC. I also serve as an Ambassador of Voice for Rights International and Youth Global Network, where I advocate for human rights, global peace, and youth leadership.
My leadership is based on empathy, service, and collaboration. I aim to represent Comorian youth globally by building bridges between health, peace, and sustainable development, and by empowering others to take action for a better world.
