Youth’s Place in Peace

Youth’s Place in Peace

The idea of a perfect condition of happiness, freedom, and peace inside and among all
people and nations on Planet Earth is known as “world peace” or “peace on Earth.” One
reason why people and nations cooperate voluntarily or as a result of a governance structure
with this goal is the concept of global nonviolence. Various groups, civilizations, religions,
and philosophical systems have different ideas about how such a condition might arise. The
professed goals of numerous religious and nonreligious groups are to bring about world peace
by tackling human rights, technology, education, engineering, medicine, or diplomacy as a
means of putting an end to all types of conflict.

Peace sometimes seems like a far-off ideal that will only materialize when we are no
longer here to experience it because we live in such chaotic times. We have more power than
we want to think about to work for peace. When it comes to building a better world, we are
all accountable. It takes a very long time to achieve serenity. And the process begins when
you take a close look at your own actions, how you treat people, and how you communicate
with everyone both inside and outside of your own country. Here are some ways that youth
can collaborate to make the world a more peaceful place.

The foundation of progress is peace education.
Through peace education, people can make informed decisions and determine their own course in life. The ability to understand one’s rights, lead a healthy, fulfilling life, and support the peace process for a more peaceful world is improved by positive peace education. Therefore, the next generation needs to promote international peace education.

Encourage initiatives for peace.
By contributing to organizations that work in violent conflict zones, like Peace
Brigades International, or by volunteering for peace building, justice, or human rights
initiatives, we can support peace initiatives around the world.

Peace can be cultivated by:
• In our communities, we promote justice and the abolition of poverty in order to
ensure that everyone is treated equally. We can support those who practice these
things and encourage others to do the same.
• In our own homes, by being kind and respectful to everyone, even when they are
upset or angry.
• By fostering a culture of sharing and caring in our schools, where it is acceptable to
express our opinions without fear of ridicule or rebuke,
• In the workplace, by fostering an environment where people feel comfortable
sharing their opinions without fear of mockery or criticism.

Promoting social justice
It’s simple to forget to help others and think about their problems in a world where
everyone is so consumed with themselves. Because they are afraid of being judged or
rejected by society, people rarely stand up for what they believe in. Youth have the capacity
to subject themselves to social justice.

Supporting human rights
The fundamental liberties and protections to which each and every one of us is
entitled are known as “human rights.” Every human right is founded on crucial ideas like
independence, respect, fairness, equality, and dignity. Human rights are essential for a free
life. People don’t have to worry about their safety and well-being when fundamental
freedoms and protections are guaranteed. They are able to live without fear or prejudice and take part fully in society. As a result, everyone lives in a more tranquil society. So, young
people can support human rights to ensure a peaceful future.

The world will become a more peaceful place if we all change our own lives to live
more peacefully. So what can each of us personally do to contribute to world peace? To
promote good peace, we can start small by altering our own behavior. We can broaden our
tolerance for other people and consider the impact of our actions on other people. In fact, I’ve
mentioned a few strategies in the paragraphs above for how young people can step forward
and cooperate to create a peaceful world. Because youth is the most powerful force capable
of bringing about a peaceful future.
