How do you prevent a conflict? When people say that ‘Peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of Justice’, they are saying that conflict is inevitable as long as humans live together in the society, but we must invest in peace to be able to mitigate conflict. ‘What you sow is what you reap’. We must focus on humanity rather than arguing about interests, creed and ideology. When we elevate our conversations to the level of our common good beyond race, ethnicity and religion we are creating the opportunity to learn how to live together in peace. Among the things I have learned about humanity is to make a conscious investment in peace through dialogues.
