“I was born in Russia and lived there until I turned 16. Since then, I lived in Italy, Israel, the USA, and Germany. I see myself as a citizen of the world and can feel how absorbing different cultures created my unique personality.
It all began in 2014, the year when I started learning English. This allowed me to go to Italy for an intercultural exchange where I lived together with an Italian family and went to Italian High School for a whole year. Falling in love with the idea of being challenged by differences in cultures and ideas, I decided to join the Eastern Mediterranean International School (EMIS), a boarding school in Israel that hosts 40+ different nationalities. I was able to get a scholarship that allowed me to live and study there for two wonderful but very challenging years. We had philosophical conversations about life, history, psychology, and everything possible every day. After graduating from EMIS, I took a gap year to work on my project, which brought me into Watson Incubator Program in Colorado, where I spent four months in 2019 developing my idea. Due to the COVID-19, I could not make the project possible as it required teachers to go abroad to vulnerable areas to volunteer. So I started building another non-profit in the summer of 2020 with my friend and joined a CODE University in Berlin (was attenting in Russia that semester). The non-profit https://womenfulvoice.org/, I decided to leave a few months ago as I started working as an office manager at metro.digital in Berlin and had to manage work and University together with life events. However, I am still very active and joined the Diversity&Inclusion team at my company to promote such topics in a tech corporate environment.”
