Carriza Arambulo connects her personal experiences to contribute to the field of development through technology. Currently, she is a fourth-year BA International Studies student at Miriam College, Philippines. As a young woman living in a heavily urbanized city, she chooses to look beyond and open her eyes to the realities of the world, where poor quality of education, inaccessibility, disasters, and the widening digital gap affect many people.
As an environmental advocate, she raises awareness of the different national environmental policies and international agreements the Philippines have established through her role as the Earth Committee Chairperson of Kilos Ko Youth. She was also an intern at SmartCT, where she worked on a data literacy curriculum with a team for local government unit leaders in the Philippines. Currently, she continues her work with SmartCT as a volunteer.
Despite these, she continues to be educated about these different fields. Recently, she finished her training with the Climate Reality Leadership Corps and was chosen as a delegate to Common Purpose’s ASEAN Young Leaders Programme. Through these educational experiences, she works for a future where her country and the world at large will seek peace through sustainable development by sharing knowledge and creating platforms for dialogue and intercultural communication.
