My name is Nadica Kocevska, and I have dedicated my academic and professional path to advancing peace, dialogue, and conflict transformation. With a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and years of experience in advocacy, education, and mediation, I now serve as the Country Director of Global Peace Chain in North Macedonia.
Over the years, I have contributed to numerous peacebuilding and social cohesion initiatives, including projects on youth empowerment, disinformation resilience, gender equality, refugee inclusion, and intercultural tolerance. My work extends across borders, from “Social Cohesion & Inclusion of Syrian Refugees” in Turkey, to “Fighting Gender Inequalities through Youth Work” in Kosovo, to OSCE’s Summer School on Tolerance and Non-Discrimination in Skopje. In parallel, I have also engaged deeply with Euro-Atlantic security and NATO-related programs, including the School for Defence, Security & NATO Integrations with the Euro-Atlantic Council, the NATO PDD Summer School, and several Atlantic Council initiatives focusing on peace, integration, and security in the Balkans.
As I lead this chapter, my vision is to empower young leaders, strengthen intercultural dialogue, and develop proactive strategies for conflict prevention and reconciliation. By working with governments, civil society, and international partners, I aim to ensure that peace is not only an aspiration but also a sustainable practice embedded in communities, education, and policymaking.
I believe that through education, grassroots engagement, and multilateral cooperation, we can transform challenges into opportunities, and that the voices of young people and marginalized groups must be at the forefront of building a future defined by unity, security, and cooperation.
