My journey started with a volunteering experience abroad, it was a 6 weeks project in turkey that satisfies the fourth SDG: Quality Education. I consider it as my biggest achievement because at the end of that adventure I discovered my most valuable quality: Leadership. After that I decided to join this amazing international organization that strives to achieve peace and fulfillment of humankind’s potential, by empowering the youth, and placing confidence in them because they are the key to a better future, and that’s exactly what I advocate for! Step by step, I became the Team Leader of the marketing department in my local committee and joined the Costumer Experience Team.
I participated in Change the World Virtual Model United Nations (CWMUN) and won an honorable mention and I will be part of the next International Model United Nations of Middle East and North Africa (MENAMUN) that will take place next July in Tunisia.
I also participated in the last World Youth Forum (WYF) in Egypt, and plan on attending the next edition, because I found that experience, that gathered 8000 students from more than 70 nationalities to a very efficient way of sharing my own ideas, and getting to know what other people think in return. I love that effect, of seeing the world from different eyes than my society’s. It gave me a fresh perspective, and even changed the way I look at some issues, which made me eventually more creative.
My different activities outside of my field’s scope (because I’m a physics student) changed my perspective, because I consider myself now as a World Citizen, and I genuinely believe that our small actions are significant, and that we can change this world, because as Bob Dylan said, there nothing so stable as change.
