Since I was 13 years old, I have worked with Youth from the church I attend in camps and medical brigades. I have worked as a volunteer at the Honduran Institute for Children and Family (INHFA). At the university I participated in various volunteer groups and medical brigades. I have worked as a teacher at the Juan Manuel Galvez Institute as well. Upon leaving university, I served as an intern at the World Food Program (WFP) in the Resilience Project in the dry corridor of Honduras. I have led the development of complementary activities to strengthen capacities of community leaders, mothers, fathers, and health unit personnel, on nutrition and food safety, training up to 2,303 families. I am currently working with ADRA Honduras (Adventist Development and Assistance Resources Agency) as the nutrition officer of the organization. I had a participation in the project with USAID in Risk Management workshops in the urban area of Tegucigalpa. I have worked advocating gender equality by training men in food preparation workshops. I currently create teaching materials for people in these communities that cannot read or write.
