Víctor Eduardo Velasquez Oseguera

Honduras

My name is Víctor Velasquez, I was born in San Pedro Sula, the second most important city of Honduras in 1994. I am a Logisitcs Management Engineer and a recent graduate from Unitec. I was a member of the Youth COMVIDA project of Unicef, where I was trained in social risk issues in young people and I was a trainer and participant in radio and television to explain these issues. I was part of the Green Agenda volunteer project where I was an ambassador of this movement by bringing awareness, organizing large campaigns of reforestation, and cleaning green areas. I have been a member of the Honduran national handball team, participating in different international tournaments in the Central America and Caribbean area, obtaining several medals for my country.
I am a young man involved in national politics seeking changes for the well-being of my community and my country. I have been trained by organizations such as the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, and in my search for changes, I joined the Latin American Network of Youth for Democracy (RedLac) in which I am currently a member and in search of completing the chapter in Honduras. Through RedLac, we have held meetings with diplomats and other decision makers from my country to make our voices heard and achieve a better country by promoting democracy and the empowerment of young people in public policies.
