Former Director for Community Outreach and Prevention Support. In this role I was responsible for identifying specific needs among marginalized populations, gathering information from communities at risk, disseminating vital knowledge to the community and directing those in need of resources. My role was working with community leaders to forge collaborations with key social sector individuals supporting vulnerable populations; gatherings as well as on social media. Also, tasked with helping and assisting newly-arrived immigrants and refugees to pay for their airfare to the IOM. I began my career as an interpreter in the fall of 2006 in Damascus, where I assisted refugees with translation and completion of legal documents. I also worked as a volunteer with the Anglican Church in Damascus. Amed is fluent in Arabic and i hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and Literature from Alturath University Colleague.
