Luoyi (Natalia) graduated from Barcelona Institute of International Studies with a master’s degree in International Relations. Her diverse educational background has also brought her to Norway and Canada, where she was awarded scholarships to perform research on topics related to migrant protection policy and minority language rights. As a passionate young leader, she actively advocates social inclusivity in her community through empowering marginalised groups. Apart from having worked with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific on counter trafficking and victim assistance in Bangkok, Thailand, she dedicates her spare time to volunteering extensively in unprivileged rural areas in China and led a campaign to raise social awareness of the situation of the left-behind children of rural-to-urban migrants. She currently works as a policy assistant at the EU Delegation to China while pursuing her second postgraduate degree in Human Rights at Peking University, a prestigious program co-funded by The Peking University Law School (PULS), China and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at Lund University, Sweden. Among other recognitions, she is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and a mentor at Wedu Global where she delivers monthly leadership development training to emerging female leaders in Asia.
