Mr. Preetam Singh Shokar is the Chief Ambassador of Heavenly Culture, World Peace & Restoration of Light in Suva Fiji, which is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. HWPL carries Special Consultative Status with United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2017. He is also the Head Priest of Samabula Suva Sikh Temple under the controlling authority of Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Suva Fiji. Between the 2 organisations, Mr. Shokar is responsible for implementing initiatives related to religion, culture, heritage, arts and peace building. Some of the key components of his role incorporate inculcation of ethics, alliance of religions, advocacy of DPCW (Declaration of Peace & Cessation of War), environmental and climate action, advocacy of women’s and human rights, empowerment of women, children and youths and professional development of cultural identity.

Mr. Shokar carries additional portfolios such as Associate Chairperson of Interfaith Search Fiji, Marriage Officer with Fiji Ministry of Justice, Cultural Instructor with High Commission of India and Council Member of University of Fiji.

He carries over 5 Years of experience in Sikh Theology (1st March 2014 – Present), over 5 Years of experience in Religious, Socio-Public & Cultural Relations Activities, over 4 Years of experience in Office Administration & Accounts, over 4 Years of experience with Interfaith Search Fiji & ISF Council and over 3 Years of experience with High Commission of India & India-Fiji Friendship Forum.
