The youth of today is the future of tomorrow!
I’m Miss Tanishta Dourgah, 19 years old and a resident of Vacoas. I’m currently a student of Law and Criminal Justice at the University of Mauritius. I would describe myself as a very simple and compassionate human being. Since a very early age I have been involved in social work as my parents always taught me that selfless service to others is the highest form of worship. This led me to create my own association where we are working day and night in order to bring positive changes in our communities and serve people as much as we can. Being the founder and director of this association (United For A Change alias UFC), I hope that I shall succeed in bringing positive impacts in our society and also inspire and encourage other people to do so. I also strongly believe that education is the most powerful tool to change the world thus my motive behind studying Law and Criminal Justice is to acquire a broad range of knowledge to develop many skills in order to be able to apply it to the betterment of our society and to be a part of our justice system. I’m also an aspiring writer. I believe that being kind to others is a noble deed and everyone should do that. Kindness has power and it has the power to make the world a beautiful and peaceful place to be.
