As a first generation Australian with a migrant and refugee background, I have grown up watching my parents struggle to provide ends meet for my siblings and I. Being privileged enough to gain an education in Australia, I believe that I owe to the children who aren’t as fortunate to me. I am a fighter for change and I will continue to fight for every child around the world who does not have the same opportunities that I have. I believe that youth are the PRESENT, not the future, and if we want to create change, we must start now and ensure that every child has access to education, liberty and freedom – just like myself.
