I am a committed youth leader from Somaliland, passionate about community development, peace, and social justice. My journey began in peaceful initiatives, raised awareness on school dropouts and girls’ education. I volunteered with Candlelight for Environment, Education & Health, supporting FGM prevention campaigns, community education programs, peaceful initiatives among somali clan conflicts. I also founded Fursasho, a platform connecting Somali youth with scholarships, internships, and mentorship opportunities, and actively participate in SONYO initiatives on youth empowerment, peace campaigns, education, and livelihoods. As a Political Science and International Relations student at Addis Ababa University, I expanded my impact by attending regional conferences, engaging in dialogue on governance, diplomacy, and climate resilience. I aim to continue driving social change, empowering youth, and promoting gender equality and peace in my community.
