Singapore

I’m very interested to network with the young leaders from other countries and how they tackle the financial inclusion problem in their country, where largely of their population remained unbanked. I’d like to also record my journey through video and conduct interviews to highlight financial issue as a key topic, so the world will know the situation from the video. I’ve participated in UNCTAD 18 Youth Forum

Financial inclusion is about making day to day life easier, it is to give people access to financial services and to be financial savvy. As I’ve worked in a bank before and know the benefits of having a savings account and access to financial planning services, it is essential in this age to have a bank account. As a property officer now, I liaise with people from the lower income families and realise that some of them do not have savings or are not taught to save since their income is barely enough to get by with Singapore’s high cost of living. Therefore, I’m passionate to teach them on financial savings and financial inclusion, for the betterment of their family and future.
