Md. Waseem Bhat holds a degree in B.A. English Honours from University of Delhi.Being a literature student Waseem loves to write about various global issues such as Climate Change and Environment, Child Labour, Women empowerment, Peace and justice and such like. He has a Contribution in a book titled as ‘Rediscovering Indira Today’ . Waseem is much enthusiastic about the Co- Curricular activities and has National and state level competitions at his disposal. During his 2nd year in college, he won the National Essay competition organised by the Rajiv Gandhi study circle Delhi. Because of his keen interest in Environment, he successfully completed the 100 hours of Swachh Bharat summer internship in which he accomplished the target of visiting 200 households and sensitised around 3000 people, including the school children about the importance of Cleanliness, ill effects of various vector borne diseases, Climate Change and Environment, etc. Waseem has worked as the Vice President at Eco Club DDUC for the year 2018-19. He also has worked as the Editor in Chief for Vivekananda Study circle Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College. Recently Waseem was selected to attend the Global Clean Air Summit 2019 slated at IIT Delhi by the International Youth Committee .

Waseem is very keen to spread awarenesses about the Climate Change and loves to explore Nature and culture. He believes that Nature moves in a spiral like our personal lives. It’s important to spend time in nature to become aware of its wisdom. He has worked as the Climate Change draw down challenge Campus Ambassador at Net Impact Delhi University. Waseem is a cricket freak and has played cricket at School, District and State level. He was selected for the U19 National Cricket trails in the year 2015. He was sports Captain in his school and plays cricket in his free time. Waseem has won a number of Slam poetry , Open Mic and inter college Creative writing competitions. To him Poetry is catharsis and a subtle way to appeal an individuals conscience.This year he won the prestigious Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Memorial Rolling Shield Debate competition organised by the Botanical Society of DDUC. Waseem was invited as the Panelist Speaker in ‘Samatva 19’ by the EOC of DDU college. He has five internships at his disposal. He has also worked as the Vice President at Adventure club DDUC. Waseem was recently selected as the Campus Ambassador of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College by the International Youth Society.

Waseem is an optimistic person and contributes to the upliftment of Society in whatever way possible to make this world a better place.
