My name is Tigran Avagyan, and I am the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Youth Opportunities Club NGO. Now I am studying at Armenian State University of Economics in Financial Faculty, Banking, and Insurance Development. I shall mention that I have participated in six international programmes. My NGO emphasizes a hands-on, learning-by-doing approach and focuses on the communities needed in more practical education to tackle the lack of practice and provide experienced access to the education of the youngsters. The mission of my NGO is to provide the youth of Armenia valuable and practical knowledge in the fields of business, marketing, sales, and many other sectors. There is no better place to start than in the corridors of practical education which will assist in reducing the hate, radicalization, and violence among the youngsters. My role is crucial in terms of leadership and management. In our NGO we try to share our experiences and knowledge and provide the youth with more sophisticated forms of education. There are five core responsibilities of mine which need to be mentioned. First responsibility concerns creating a vision, leading and managing, engaging the community, managing financial/fundraising affairs and supporting the board of directors. Time to time we help our members to participate and be engaged in international programs. After the participation they will be ready to share their experience in their community. One of the important goals of my NGO is to keep our members motivated to learn, to work and reach their dreams. My first rule is: to organize and implement the activities of the organization within the scope of its powers under this Charter and employment contract. The second rule implies: to adopt decisions, give assignments to the staff. The third rule is: to submit an annual report on its activities to the Board and participate in the Board meetings with the right of consultative vote. We encourage young people and students to get acquainted with the historical and cultural values of the country and create a platform for the strengthening and maintenance of youth connections that will promote the exchange of youth experiences. The organization of events that support the healthy lifestyle of the youth, tours in and around Armenia, as well as training courses, meetings and many different activities that ensure our students’ development and advancement.
