Mr.Kidus Mehalu is the the Co-Founder & Executive Director of
Te a c h i n g s o f E n t r e p r e n e u r s h i p o n A n t i p o v e r t y
Movement(TEAM),which aims to improve lives through the
promotion of entrepreneurship, values of economic freedom, and
foundations of a decent society since 2013. Since May 2017, Kidus was
appointed as Director for African Union Affairs, Regional Economic
Communities(RECs), NEPAD and UN agencies at the African Youth Commission. In addition,
Kidus is the official representative of the International Youth Federation (IYF) in Ethiopia.
Kidus Mehalu is an accomplished young leader with many achievements in his belt. He is
passionate about and striving to build a better and more humane tomorrow by arming citizens to
more effectively engage in society and empowering them to combat the common enemies of
humanity: tyranny, poverty, disease and war. In his free time, Kidus enjoys reading, photography,
writing, and volunteering. In the academic vein, Kidus received a post-graduate diploma in EU
Studies from the CIFE/the Jean-Monnet Chair for Political Science and European Affairs at the
University of Cologne, a graduate diploma in International Business from FUNDESEM Business
School in Spain, & completed his bachelor of Business Administration degree at Curtin
University(WA). In addition, Kidus holds certifications in Human Centered Design for Social
Innovation, Project management in International Peace Keeping and peace building, and Youth
& Democracy-Youth Involvement in the Democratic Process.
