Eliachim SEZERANO

Burundi

My name is SEZERANO Eliachim.
I started my primary school while I were 7 years old. I studied pedagogy at high school, that curriculum took 4 years . I had been a teacher of preschool during 5 months and I have been a teacher at primary school whole school year.

My passion for education wasn’t sparked in a single moment; it’s been a constant flame throughout my life.
From a young age, I devoured books and loved asking questions. I thrived in school, not just for the grades, but for the joy of discovery in every subject.
My works inspired even teachers. Many of my educators ignited a spark within me, making me realize the power of inspiring others to learn.

I have inspired even students. Even as a student myself, I volunteered as a tutor at a local after-school program. Helping younger students overcome challenges and grasp new concepts brought my immense satisfaction.

Witnessing educational disparities firsthand motivated me. I participated in student government, advocating for increased resources and innovative teaching methods. I even researched and presented on the benefits of gamification in learning.

My passion for education extend beyond traditional classrooms. I actively seek out online courses, attend workshops, and participate in educational communities. Learning, for me is a lifelong journey.
Recently I have been certified as EAC youth ambassador. Now I’m doing to best to empower young people in different ways in order the become able to resolve peacefully and diplomatically all problems and to advocate for their own rights.

My background exemplifies the intrinsic drive to learn and share knowledge.

I have participated in leadership initiatives since 2016. For instance, I established a
Youth Savings Association in my community to assist them with proper money
management for a better future. This experience provided insight into youth issues
and effective solutions. Furthermore, the period was challenging, with political
instability and security concerns that I had to navigate these issues to maintain peace
for the youth in my locality.
Between 2018 and 2020, I led my University Student Fellowship Union, comprising
students from various religious denominations. Additionally, I attended regional and
continental university student gatherings within the context of faith. Discussions often
centered around peace, a Christian tenet, and these experiences enhanced my
competencies in people management, cross-cultural leadership, and peacebuilding.
The aforementioned examples aided in facilitating, comprehending, and mentoring the
younger generation in numerous ways. Moreover, they sharpened my leadership
abilities and expertise, which I consider an indispensable attribute for the Peace Youth
Ambassadorship.
Being an avid reader, I am accustomed to perceiving things from different viewpoints,
an indispensable asset during debates. During my leadership role described earlier, I
consistently led the debates. This experience has honed my skills as a debater and
communicator. I am confident that I will make valuable contributions in peace global chain .
