My name is Abdoulie Colley, a dynamic force at the age of 29, and thus see myself as a beacon of inspiration for global peace ambassadors. My journey unfolds as a testament to resilience, leadership, and a commitment to positive change.
Beginning my academic odyssey at Canarias Lamin Nursery School in 1998, i graduated with distinction, foreshadowing the exceptional path i would tread. Moving on to Lamin Daranka Lower Basic School, i did not only excelled academically but also embraced leadership roles, ascending from class captain to the esteemed position of headboy.
My prowess extended beyond the classroom, where i became a vital part of the drama club and the school soccer team during his primary school days. My dedication and outstanding grades propelled him to Kombo Kerewan Upper Basic School, setting the stage for a rigorous three-year journey marked by academic excellence.
In the realm of secondary education, my leadership shone brightly as i served as a senior prefect and actively contributed to the school’s football team. It was during this time that i flair for creative writing blossomed, leading him to pen inspiring poems and delve into the world of literary expression.
My academic journey reached new heights at Nusrat, Gambia’s preeminent institution, where i specialized in art, government, history, religious studies, English language, and literature. Beyond my studies, i immersed myself in clubs like Government and History, Science and Math, and the Writer’s Club, where i did not only participated but held the esteemed position of Secretary General.
Venturing into my tertiary education at the Management Development Institute (MDI), i pursued diplomacy and international relations studies, solidifying my foundation as an aspiring global leader. This three-year dedication showcased my commitment to understanding international relations and fostering diplomatic ties among nations.
Post-education, i co-founded CESDID (Centre for Sustainable Development, Inclusion, and Democracy), a nonpartisan NGO dedicated to fostering sustainable democracy and inclusivity in The Gambia. My impactful work continued as i managed projects for the Life of Giving Foundation (LOGF), focusing on the welfare of the less privileged, women, and children.
In parallel, My commitment to community development remained steadfast, serving as the Secretary General of my Village Development Committee and actively engaging in regional sports associations. My passion for youth empowerment is undeniable, reflecting in my ongoing dedication to enhancing youth productivity.
My journey is not merely a biography; it is a narrative of resilience, leadership, and a relentless pursuit of positive impact. As a global peace ambassador, i stand tall, embodying the spirit of change and progress for a brighter, more inclusive world.
