Hani is a Sudanese doctor, who was born in 1989 in a small village in Northern Sudan called Karima, graduated from university of Khartoum, faculty of medicine, now working as a pediatric surgery resident.
Since he was a child, he was concerned about public works, participating in cultural societies in secondary school, upon reaching the university level, Hani’s interest was focused on public heath activities, enrolled in many health days, volunteer and cultural societies, and five medical missions, following graduation, he volunteered in a volunteer testing and counseling center for HIV patients, beside his ongoing participation in medical missions. In the last two years he created an initiative that aims to encourage rural communities in his country to boost their health environment, fighting the malpractices and ensuring a sustainable health of their local provinces.
Since he was in the secondary school, Hani was the head of the cultural society in his school, upon entry to the university, Hani was a member of the organizing committee for the faculty innovation day 2007, during the same year, he was a co-founder for a volunteer student’s society caring for children with cancer, called Basma, which help treating hundreds of children with cancer. Then he was a member of a medical mission to (kosti- White Nile state 2008), then an organizing committee member and a participant in:

• (Kassala state medical mission 2017)
• (Sinnar state medical mission 2018)
Following his graduation and clinical life at various hospitals, Hani continued his public activities, beside his work as member of the doctor’s union of the hospital, he started volunteering in a charity clinic for treatment and support for children with HIV-AIDS, which was a great experience that helps him to develop his communication skills during the process of gathering donations for those patients, working jointly with a couple of NGOs, arranging several workshops and events regarding HIV-AIDS, the impact of that were the foundation of sustainable funding for (the society of people living with AIDS).
On 2017, Hani with assistance of some keen colleagues created a community based initiative, as the medical missions are a time-limited events, so to ensure the sustainability of the health promotion of the rural communities, in every village he chose a group of five educated volunteers to work under his supervision to design a local health society, to address the local health issues, the initiative was applied in two states, with a continuous promising feedbacks.
Hani is now working as a paediatric surgery fellow, travelling through his home country to spread health and hope, willing to see his country united again.
