Yelyzaveta (Lisa) Glybchenko is a Master’s Student in Peace, Mediation and Conflict Research at Tampere University, Finland. Before, she studied Political Science and IR at the American University in Bulgaria, Bulgaria – this choice was inspired by the events in her home country, Ukraine. Lisa has combined her international experiences to be part of the organizing teams of AUBG Model United Nations, TEDxAUBG and now also TEDxTampereUniversity. Her primary interests include the role of visual communication in facilitating peace processes in the Middle East, graphic design as politics, art, foreign languages and international relations. Lisa is an alumna of the US Department of State Future Leaders Exchange program, Erasmus+ program, and has participated in such trainings as Alive Peace: Exploring Holistic Approaches towards a Culture of Peace, Youth in Art: Painting an Inclusive Europe, Nobel Week at the University of Stockholm, and Ukraine Anti-Corruption/Transparency in Governance Workshop. She started a platform that turns photos from conflict zones into coloring pages, allowing for the areas to be re-imagined and transformed, – Life of Colors: Color Up Peace. Lisa is looking forward to putting her experience to practice as a representative of the Global Peace Chain in Finland!
