TinShine Aung is a passionate, innovative, solution-focused young professional who is currently working as the Regional Trainer and Facilitator at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Myanmar. Besides, he is also serving as a council member in the Ambassador’s Youth Council (AYC) at the U.S. Embassy in Myanmar. He is an Erasmus Mundus Alumnus and received his master’s degree in Marine Sciences-Marine Resources (Marine Natural Products) in 2017 at Abel Salazar Biomedical Science Institute, the University of Porto in Portugal. He also participated in the Chemistry and Biological Activity of Marine Natural Products research unit at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR) during his master’s journey in Portugal. He also earned a master’s degree in Biochemistry in 2015 and a postgraduate diploma in International Studies in 2019 at the University of Yangon, Myanmar respectively. 

Besides his professional and academic life, he is also actively participating in social works and volunteering and was awarded Certificate of Honour by the President of the Union of Republic of Myanmar in 2013, due to his contribution in 27 South East Asia Games, Myanmar as liaison officer for VIP officials from South East Asia countries. Also, he is a current member of Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative (YSEALI), and he is also one of the core members of the University Muslim Student Network-Myanmar (UMS), and he served as Executive Member, and Officer In Charge of Foreign Affairs Committee during the first term of UMS network in 2013. He elected as Global Peace Ambassador at Global Peace Chain in 2018 and nominated as Advisor at University Muslim Student Network-Myanmar in 2019, respectively. He strongly believed that his professional experience in developmental works and extensive knowledge of Myanmar social, youth development, and ethnic diversity could be useful to extend the Global Peace Chain mission in Myanmar.
