Sharif Mussa is a Junior Translator professional at ContentHub with Girl Effect in Tanzania
Sharif Mussa was born in Iringa, Tanzania on 21 December 1992. He graduated high school at Mwembetogwa – Iringa in February 2013 and from Saint Augustine University of Tanzania in Morogoro a Bachelor of Arts with Education in October 2016.
After receiving his education, Sharif Mussa volunteered with READ INTERNATIONAL Organization in Nyang’hwale Geita -Tanzania supporting Library refurbishment and Reading culture 2017 at Nyang’hwale community Library in Geita. As part of the programme, Sharif worked with his fellow volunteers, District leaders such as Regional Commissioner, District commissioner, District Executive director, Ward education officer and Community library committee to develop and implement an action plan.
He later volunteered with Restless Development Organization (Tanzania) partnering with DANCE4LIFE (Netherlands) under Journey4Life project in southern Tanzania supporting youths aged 14-19 by creating understanding and comprehension on Sexual Rights and Healthy Reproductive (SRHR), Gender Based Violence, Teenager’s pregnancies, STD’s and STI’s in February 2018.
In October 2018, he attended Dance4life experience in Netherlands discussing and sharing different experience and challenges of young people in the world on SRHR, Research and Results together with Fundraising session.
Sharif Mussa has been in his current position of Junior Translator professional at ContentHub with Girl Effect under TEGA project, where TEGA project is a mobile based, peer-to-peer research app used by some of the world’s leading development organisations to provide safer, faster, more scalable and authentic world.
An active member, Sharif Mussa is a Co-Founder of TAYOF (Tanzania Youth Opportunities Forum) Whereas the recognition of the inherent dignity and of the fundamental youth opportunities and peoples rights is the foundation for peace, freedom and justice of Tanzania Youth Opportunities, aims to be established to support the work of the work of youth within Dar Es Salaam and Countrywide to the international level.
