I am Jantricia Lyly, originally from Gabon, currently studying international relations and political sciences in Turkey.
I was born and raised in Gabon where I did all my primary and secondary studies. After I got my high school diploma in 2014 my parents decided to send me to Turkey to pursue my university’s studies.
I learned a new language and got to know about a different culture.
During my high school time I had the opportunity to be active in many social activities, such as music, theater and literature.
This passion for literature followed me until this day, where I am speaking 4 languages and aim to learn more.
Right after I started university, I got to learn more about globalization, my interest in political social and economic issues around the world became bigger.
This led me to my first experience as I participated at the United Nations World Humanitarian Summit in 2016. After that I’ve made more researches about world conflicts, and taught myself more about the importance of having a voice and using it for our generation.
Later on my thirst of learning and teaching more about African cultures and history became one of my biggest goal. So in 2017 I did an internship for 1 month in the Gabonese embassy in Turkey.
I’m still focusing on giving more and learning more about all kind of social economic and political issues, particularly in Africa. After my bachelor degree I plan to go further and find more opportunities where I could help as much as I can other people around the world but mostly in Africa.
For now I’m just a young African woman, with a small platform but big dreams and a voice who looks ahead of making a change in her way.
Finally, if you don’t see me debating or fighting for human rights especially women and African freedom, you will find me running my small blog website, taking pictures of me or other people where I could express my vision of life, beauty, cultures and history.
