Over six years experience in teaching, research and cross-border peace-building in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan in Africa and Costa Rica in Central America, having engaged multi- stakeholders, including, but not limited to, county governors, members of parliament, members of diplomatic corps, scholars, non-governmental organizations, county commissioners, deputy county commissioners, women parliamentarians, and members of county assembly. Dr. Wyclife was part of the team that successfully implemented a three year University for Peace (UPEACE) cross-border peace project in Turkana and West Pokot parts of Karamoja in Kenya and Moroto, Nakapiripir, and Amudat segment of Uganda in partnership with Uganda Martyr University, the University of Western Cape, and Children Peace Initiative-Kenya. He took a leading role in writing project management reports, field research and data analysis, planning and implementation of project activities such as community mobilisation, workshop facilitation, sports for peace, cultural festivals, and so on. Prior to that, Dr. Wyclife served at education department of save the children, UK in the Republic of South Sudan, a country that has been confronted with violent conflict for decades. In 2014, Dr. Wyclife participated in Equator Peace Academy (EPA) on Religion and Refugees Coping with Differences in Foreign Land where we visited various refugee settlements in Western Uganda and Urban refugees in Kampala including refugees from Somalia who shared their experiences as refugees. My publication on reflection of refugees in Africa was an outcome of interactions with refugees in Uganda drawn from different countries of Africa. My research interests and projects ranges from governance and social justice, religion and violent extremism, terrorism and trans-national organized crime, mapping conflict dynamics, conflict prevention, leadership to sustainable peace and development. Dr. Wyclife holds a Bachelor Degree in Education Science with specialization in physics and mathematics, Masters Degree in Education (Sociology of Education and Policy Studies) and Ph.D. in Peace and Conflict Studies from UPEACE, Costa Rica.
